What happens after treatment starts?
You should leave with written instructions and a planned review. After treatment starts, monitor the agreed goal, side effects and new symptoms; results and progress should determine whether the plan continues, changes, stops or needs another specialty.

Follow the written plan
Use medicines, devices, exercises or other care exactly as agreed and follow any activity restrictions.
Track benefit and safety
Note whether the target symptom improves and record side effects, pain, bleeding, mood changes or other concerns.
Review results privately
Ask how test results affect treatment and whether partner guidance or another assessment is needed.
Continue, adjust or refer
At follow-up, review benefit, side effects and unresolved concerns, then change the plan or involve another specialty if appropriate.

A private next step
Talk to a care coordinator privately
Tell us what you would like to discuss and a consultation with a licensed clinician can be arranged. Diagnosis and treatment always follow an individual clinical assessment.
